_{The hoofed pokemon glared down at the small puppy pokemon. She had accepted his challnge andhe was angry. How could suh a tiny pokemon expect to beat him! Blaze snorted and the two of them took their places. A pidgey flying above cried out a d they were off.}

Adalei knew her speed was no march for that of one built for running. She didn't like being taunted and while it was not in her nature, she refused to back down. She knew his frustrated the ponyta so she qas growing amused. As they began to pick up speed, she did the one thing that would help her to win.

She cheated.

Her claws hooked onto the ponyta's flank as she leapted onto his back and Blaze let out a very angry cry. "Cheater! Get off!" Adalei ignorwd him, holding on tightly. His blue flames danced ariund hee and she thanked her lucky stars that she didn't feel anything more than a soft warmth from them.

The fire horse pokemon bucked and jerked in an attempt to throw her off, but kept moving forwards. This worked for Adalei and she kept a tight grip as the ponyta began to buck less often and slow down.

Finally, Blaze was atanding still. He was so worn out from the effort of trying to remove the growlithe that he couldn't move, his legs shaking. Adalei lept from his back and ran forwards. The cry of the same pidgey marked the end. She had won.

She stared at Blaze as he stared at her and exhausted he dropped something at her paws.

"I cheated...but you cheated..better...take this...

Was she proud of herself for cheating? Not really. But she had stood her ground...kind of...and now she felt a bit more respected. The small growlithe walked away with her new trinket, head held high.

Hehe how's that xD

I drew this twice losing It both tkmes before I had the common sense to save every ten minutes.
